Tissue Collection and Documentation
Once the tissue gets collected after birth and the tissue donation occurs, it is required that a consent is signed by the donor and a questionnaire about the donor is completed before it is packaged for processing.
Required consent is given by donor
Culture of the tissue is obtained by our technician.
The tissue is examined to ensure Amnion/Chorion is intact
The tissue is packaged to be shipped to a Processor
Processing Lab
Tissue Processing
After tissue acquisition is completed and packaged at the hospital, the tissue is shipped to a Processor for the grafts to be made.
Suitability of tissue is determined after multiple steps and testing. This is required for a safe product and the final decision is made by the processor’s Medical Director
The tissue is then cleaned and processed to produce a sterile and uniform graft ready for a recipient
Certified processors are supplied tissue from NLTB and both NLTB and each processor has a Medical Director
Surgery
Recieved By Patient
In the final step of the process, surgeons select the appropriate birth tissue graft based on a patient’s needs and apply it during surgery to support healing. These grafts help reduce inflammation, protect delicate tissue, minimize scarring, and encourage faster, more effective recovery, offering patients a better chance at healing and improved outcomes.
